Leslie and Derek’s Ramble Hotel wedding was simple, intentional, and felt exactly like them. From the start, they knew they wanted a day that focused on connection, something relaxed, meaningful, and a little adventurous.
Because hiking is such a big part of their lives, it made sense to begin the day in motion. We hiked through evergreen forest to a quiet lookout for their vows, keeping things calm and unrushed. Winter added a cool, peaceful energy without complicating the experience, which meant we could stay present and take our time.
Thoughtful Details & Quiet Moments
After the hike, the day settled into something slower and more intimate. One of my favorite details was Leslie’s bouquet. Instead of a traditional design, she chose a sculptural, bag-shaped design that felt modern. It added a subtle edge to the day and fit perfectly with the clean winter palette and elevated feel. We also created some space for them to have a moment during their marriage license signing in the hotel room.

The rest of the day flowed, which is always my favorite kind of pace. We leaned into natural movement, genuine connection, and let things unfold as they happened. That approach paired so well with the winter setting and the clean, modern spaces gave everything a refined feel without losing warmth.
What I loved most was how comfortable Leslie and Derek were with each other and with the process. The end result felt natural and timeless, with imagery that reflects their calm and connected day.
